The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

UNEP was established as a result of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in June 1972. The United Nations Environment Programme coordinates the environmental activities of member states and implements the environmental policies and practices of developed countries. Its headquarters is in Nairobi, Kenya, also with offices in six different regions and countries.
